13-14 October FotoDepartament participates in the SAM FAIR , an annual and one of the biggest events within St.Petersburg’s art-world.

In 2018, the fair will be held for the second time. Last year more than 3,000 people witnessed the “wild bidding”, the profit from which amounted to more than 3.5 million rubles. The SAM FAIR’s main goal is to support young artists and the local art-scene.

Participated with limited edition prints by contemporary Russian artists in 2017, this year FotoDepartament presents Attention Hub, a brand new project, aimed at creating communication between international audience and the most active Russian documentary and conceptual artists.

Hub’s purpose is to present the contemporary Russian visual art appropriately in the international arena, which means to speak about the situation as it is: difficult, but not without those who are ready to change it.

Hub’s website is originally in English. Besides regularly updated artist pages, Attention Hub hosts pop-up project-events, presentations and exhibitions.

The prints’ prices we present vary from 400 to 2,000 €. We believe the author’s work is a product that gives an artist a resource for development. Attention Hub’s collectible print sales at SAM FAIR will be aimed at promoting the artists and at raising funds for displaying their work at international events 2019-2020.
