Education: MA Economics. BA at the Department of Art History, the European University in St. Petersburg.
Scientific and cultural interests: theory of photography, contemporary photography, contemporary art, architecture.
Experience and implemented projects include: 2005-2006 – one of the founders of Peterburgskie Fotomasterskie Foundation.
In 2004-2005 worked as a press secretary of the National Center of Photography (ROSPHOTO). In the fall of 2006 – the curator of three photo exhibits by young photographers under the Fall Photo Marathon festival. Organized and curated the festival of Internet photography Current_foto.
Fall of 2004 – spring of 2005 – student of Cultural Journalism course at PRO ARTE institute (specializing in art critique, photo critique). As an independent journalist and photo critic, has collaborated with magazines: ТHE!, 100% Красный, ART-Digger, Fotomagazin, Potrebitel Magazine, Foto&Video, the photographer.ru photo resource, Fotonovosti.ru, etc.
Nadya Sheremetova has also been one of the curators (together with Ulrich Haas Pursiainen) of the exhibition Territories of Desire. Contemporary Russian presented at Backlight Photographic Festival 2011 in Tampere, Finland.
As the curators she made several group shows of emerging photographers on different locations including Moscow Museum of Modern Art as a part of the Moscow International Biennale «Fashion and Style in Photography» 2015.
In August 2015 she developed art-photography part of the IX International Festival of Photography «Photoparad in Uglich» (Russia) that included workshops, lectures and the exhibition «Construction. Photography in search of approach» (co-curated with Jana Romanova).
Since 2011 Nadya Sheremetova is developing and teaching several courses as one of the curators of a long-term educational program FotoDepartament.Institute.
Since 2007 she is the main curator of the annual Young Russian Photography exhibition project (www.youngphotography.ru)

Born in St. Petersburg
Photographer since 1972.
Worked at: Hudozhnik RSFSR publishing house, the State Hermitage, Young Spectators’ Theater, collaborated with Melodia company, multiple theaters and publishing houses of Leningrad and St. Petersburg.
From 1981 through 1996 lived in the wooded area on coast of Ladoga lake, episodically visiting the city.
